Bidding & budgets: smarter LinkedIn ads without overspending.

LinkedIn will push you towards Accelerate (auto-build campaigns) and Maximize Delivery (auto bidding). We avoid both when building performant B2B LinkedIn ad accounts.
6.1. Always choose "Classic" over "Accelerate"
When creating a campaign, choose "Classic", not "Accelerate". Accelerate tends to broaden targeting more than you'd like, make assumptions about your strategy, and limit the control your team needs to learn and optimise.
6.2. Start with manual bidding
Under bidding, switch from Maximize Delivery to Manual bidding. When LinkedIn suggests a recommended bid and range, we typically start near the lower bound, monitor delivery, impression share and cost per result, and increase gradually only if needed.
Why this matters: recommended bids often skew high, many advertisers overbid and burn budget early, and careful manual bidders can get similar reach at better prices over time. For smaller B2B budgets, manual bidding is one of the simplest ways to increase ROI.
